“Look Closer” is an art installation created for the 26th annual South End Art Hop in Burlington, VT.

Displaying an altered Smith & Wesson semi-automatic rifle along with the names of 233 students and teachers killed in school shootings since the Columbine High School massacre, the exhibit evoked a wide range of audience reactions.

It was called “incredibly heartbreaking and powerful,” “very moving” and “brilliant” on Vermont social media.
