Praise for A Juddering:

“An amazing film — Oscar Williams embodies climate anxiety with tremoring urgency in his portrayal of Otto. A Juddering gives eloquent voice to the generational divide surrounding the defining crisis of our time.”

Alison Bechdel, Cartoonist “Fun Home”

“Kids are--literally--feeling more of the danger of this moment than the rest of us. This film captures some of that despair (which is always mixed with hope that someone will listen) and makes clear the desire to communicate. May these voices find a hearing.”

Bill McKibben
Environmentalist, Author and Journalist

“Oscar Williams is a jewel in this picture and I think that Dennis McSorley nailed the role of Grandpa, as everybody in the world either has or has known a cigar smoking, Cadillac driving, takes no bullshit Grandpa like this one.”

“The film is incredibly gorgeous, so beautifully designed and shot, really huge congratulations on the production of this one, just flat out gorgeous. You should definitely get this into the festival pipeline once you have your final elements. I liked the story and the star is really great. ... A big film accomplishment, get this one out there!”

JC, Los Angeles, Film Editor

“OMG Granddad is incredible. I just loved him! So perfect in every way.”

“We were both blown away at [Oscar's] ability to portray such a complex character. ... I loved the message of wanting people to understand things that they can’t possibly understand, especially when Otto told his granddad that he wanted him to feel what he felt, that was powerful in its own way. I loved the cinematography and I loved how there wasn’t a ton of dialogue. I also really loved the way [Oscar did his] monologues directly to the camera because it added so much depth.”

NYC Journalist

“I just watched the film and I’m in love.”

HW, Burlington VT, on the rough edit of A Juddering

Logline: A troubled teen experiencing Climate Anxiety feels something wrong with the Earth. He tries to convey the danger to his cigar-chomping, Cadillac-driving grandfather — only Granddad won’t listen.

A JUDDERING is a parable for our changing times. A short film about a young person who feels a profound wrong — and the adults who just won’t listen.
